Adult Christian Education
The incarnation of Jesus is a claim of the Christian faith that God became flesh in Jesus. Incarnation is one of the mysteries of the faith that has been discussed and debated and has perplexed theologians and new believers alike.
This study will examine the Advent series by the Rev. Adam Hamilton titled, INCARNATION: REDISCOVERING THE SIGNIFICANCE OF CHRISTMAS beginning the first Sunday in Advent, November 29 at 10:30am Central Time on a Zoom Video conference connection. We sincerely hope you will join us. Registration information is contained below.
- Week 1 will concentrate on the royal titles of Jesus and how calling him King can help us grow in faith and obedience today.
- Week 2 (December 6) will focus on how He has saved us, is saving us, and will save us.
- Week 3 (December 13) will explore the message of hope, Emmanuel, God With Us.
- Week 4 (December 20) will examine the Light of the World and how Christmas is both a celebration of God’s response to darkness and His call for us to respond well.
Each session will feature a short DVD presentation by Rev. Hamilton, followed by a guided discussion of additional commentary from Hamilton’s companion book, and related references facilitated by Bill Ridgely. We will frequently refer to and read from the Bible so have yours handy.
